Suzanne M. Buffington -

Suzanne M Buffington, 62, of Portage. WI,  died Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at her home in Portage.

Suzanne was born December 15, 1947, in Belvidere, IL, the daughter of Ivan and Marie Diamond Vowles.  She enjoyed gardening, interior decorating, ceramics, shopping and playing cards.  Suzanne was a member of Flora Community Church.

Suzanne is survived by her sons, John Clayton (Cheri) Buffington and Brett (Angela) Buffington, both of Dalton. WI; her granddaughter, Hailey Buffington of Dalton, WI; her sisters, Margie Martin of Belvidere, IL, June Vowles of Belvidere, IL, and Debi Segel of Cherry Valley, IL; several nephews, other relatives and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Carol Mitchell.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, July 31 at Flora Community Church, Kirkland, IL, with Pastor Ron Meyer officiating.  Inurnment will be private.  Visitation will be held from 1 pm until the time of the services at the church.

Bud and Sue were quite a pair!  I still remember them getting away one Thanksgiving at our house when they were about two years old.  When we found them, they were sitting on the kitchen table - Bud was eating the butter, and Sue was eating cranberries.
