Palm Beach Shores

These photos are from our stay at Marriott's Ocean Pointe Resort in Palm Beach Shores.  We stayed here for a week last year, and it's growing on us.   We like the small town feel of this place.  We are now in Ft Lauderdale---quite a change!

This walkway is part of our morning walk.

Buddy's Bar caught my eye, although we never ate there.  We passed it on our morning walk.

Johnny Longboat's was within walking distance of our resort, and we ate here.  Also ate at Two Drunken Goats several times, but no pic of that place.  It was also within walking distance of our resort.

The beach - There was a charge to use the beach chairs, umbrellas, and cabanas, so we brought our own.

The locals probably thought we were Jed Clampett.  We had never seen anything quite like this before!  This is a Publix Grocery store near Ocean Pointe.  You park in parking garage on the roof and take escalator on right to lower level grocery store.

Then after you buy your groceries, your cart rides up the center escalator, and you ride up the left one.  We think this store went to quite an expense to provide parking for their customers.

We are now in Ft Lauderdale at the Marriott Beachplace Towers.  This is our second time staying here.  The last time we had an ocean view, but this time we face the intercoastal waterway.
