We celebrated Claire's 10th birthday on July 3 with a party, cake, and of course, fireworks.  On the 4th we woke up to no water at our house.  Well pump which had given us good service for 38 years had to be replaced.  Glad we had done our celebrating the day before, so replacing the pump didn't cramp our style much.

Will is playing ball with a new team this weekend.

Pulling the pump

Our well is 150 feet deep, but we hit water at 80 feet.

The old pump and piping,

Getting the new pump ready.  The old pump was 4" diameter; the new is 3".
