New Braces, Football Jamboree, and Garage Sale

Caelin got new braces last week, but only wore them a couple days and had to have them removed because she is allergic to the nickel in the metal.  She will return to the orthodontist when her mouth has healed to have titanium braces put on.

Caelin is all smiles after getting her new braces.

Within a couple days her lips were swollen and her mouth was full of canker sores.

Will is playing football again this year with the CIYFL.  The opening Jamboree had several teams competing in scrimmages.

Will removing his pads between scrimmages to cool off.

Action on the field.  Will's team won 2, and tied one scrimmage.

The team planning for a great year.

Remember the old concrete block building at Leverett?  We had an opportunity to see the inside when the owners had a garage sale.

This building was at one time a general store.  It later was the township building and held social functions like dances.  The inscription in the upper center says:  "1909 A. J. Flatt & Son Gen. Mdse. Grain Coal & Implements"

This is the view of the second story.  It is divided into one large area and three smaller rooms.

View of the railroad crossing from one of the smaller second story rooms.

The center room of three on the south side of the building.

The freight elevator, probably used to store grocery inventory on the second level.
