Our backyard has some interesting views, especially over the last few years. These things have probably always been there, I just didn't have time to see them in the past.
Hubby has had these daylilies for several years. When the Klehm Flower Nursery closed and moved from Champaign to southeastern Wisconsin, they left all the flower bulbs in the fields. A local gentleman dug as many as he could and gave them away.
For a while our rabbit population has been down, but I noticed these two in our yard recently, so perhaps it's increasing.
We discovered this robin's nest in the apple tree, but the young ones left the nest a couple weeks ago.
Potted plants and flowers along with our old birdbath at the base of the deck landing. The stepping stones were made by the grandkids for Father's Day 2006.
The birds love our new waterfall stream. A couple robins take advantage of the stream for bathing and drinking.
One morning recently our deck was covered with spider webs that glistened in the light. What an architectural wonder!
Hubby planted this rose hedge last year, and this year we have pink flowers, although Hubby said they were supposed to be red.
When we had the heavy rains a couple weeks ago, the creek rose. For the past 10 days, we have had to water. We could sure use that rainfall now.
When we had the high water recently, Hubby took this picture of a turtle sunning on the creek bank. We wondered if it was Franklin. Do you remember him?
Hubby found Franklin in our garage in the Spring of 2004. We think one of the cats found him and brought him there. He was pretty little.

The creek has returned to normal level.

We kept Franklin for a year and then released him at the creek in August 2005. You can see him scampering back to the water in this photo. He had grown a lot.
