MEMORIAL TO CINDER
(Toonces)
January 1993 - June 10, 2010

Our neighbor's daughter found Cinder along the road, just south of our house when she was coming to visit her parents.  It was shortly after the first of the new year in 1993.  He was a very young kitten, not yet weaned.  I fed him with a small kitten nursing bottle until he was big enough for catfood.  However, he wasn't fond of catfood and for a long time, I browned hamburger and mixed it with a can of Campbells Cream of Chicken soup.  He loved it!  This continued for many years until I got him to take canned catfood.  He never did like dry food.

About three weeks ago he stopped eating and appeared to have a digestive problem.  We took him to the vet, and blood and urine tests were done.  The vet informed us his liver enzymes appeared a bit off, but nothing definitive was discovered.  I "spoon fed" him strained baby food meat for a couple weeks, but he didn't improve.  He is now waiting at the "Rainbow Bridge".
