May is full of memories of past events - the Kentucky Derby, Mother's Day, graduations, birthdays, and Memorial Day to name a few. I went through some old photos and decided to show these.
This was in 1986. I don't remember why Brian didn't go on this trip, but maybe he was detassel-ing corn and stayed with a friend.
One of the horses in front of the Kentucky Derby Museum.
Daren, Colby, Aimee, and Melissa petting one of the horses.
Remember "Hands Across America" on May 25, 1986? We joined hands in a human chain from New York City to Long Beach, CA. Jerry far left joins hands.
Mother's Day 1980, Colby, Aimee, Daren, Me, Brian, and Melissa. I wonder why Colby isn't happy in this photo.
Another Mother's Day photo. I think this was in 1981. I remember Hubby left that day on a business trip, and the kids and I observed Mother's Day at the old "Red Wheel" on the corner of Springfield and Prospect.
ADDENDUM TO ABOVE POST: After posting the above pix, Melissa called laughing at Colby's photo showing his displeasure in the Mother's Day 1980 photo. I reminded her that there was always someone unhappy about something, and that I had a good one of her. So here it is!! This is Christmas 1985.
