We arrived home yesterday after a wonderful trip to several areas in Florida, including the panhandle. For the most part Florida was much cooler than I remembered from the past. Morning temps in the panhandle were in the 30's. We didn't see a lot of sunshine either, and everywhere we went people were talking about how cold it was.

This new Panera was in the Pier Park Shopping Mall.

Pier Park Mall had un-usual "strip mall" design with round abouts and "front door" parking.

The store fronts were attractive in multi-colored pastels.

The MB Miller Pier is under construction, adjacent to MB Miller Park. It was damaged during Hurricane Dennis and later demolished. It will be 3 times longer than the original pier.
"All drains lead back to the ocean" was a recurring theme in "Finding Nemo". These photos prove it's true.

The beach looking west from our resort toward the MB Miller pier.

On the beach looking east. Not many on the beach and those that were wore warm clothes.

Hubby and I watched a young couple taking pictures of themselves at Panera and thought we'd give it a try on the beach. My arms weren't long enough to hold the camera out far enough to get both of us in, so I think this is one Hubby shot.

The white sand on this walkway to the beach reminded us of snow.

We had a beautiful view from our room on the sixth floor of our resort.
I couldn't resist taking this picture of Bishops Buffet for those ex-Bishop's employees. It was closed, but I don't know if the closure was permanent or seasonal.

Me standing on the balcony overlooking the pool and oceanfront.
