"OUR GREAT ADVENTURE"


I would love to show you pictures of our great adventure. However, yesterday our laptop crashed and I couldn't get Windows to load. I did an emergency recovery and still no go. This morning I took it to a local "techie" recommended by the hotel. He thinks the hard drive is bad.

This laptop is only 3 years old, and the original hard drive only lasted 1-1/2 years and was replaced in July of 2008. This is the second hard drive to go bad. I guess the life of a hard drive on an HP laptop is only 1-1/2 years.

As soon as I get it back, I will update my blog with more pix. We've done the Riverwalk in Ft Lauderdale, an excursion to Sanibel and Fort Myers, and downtown Naples for dinner.

Yesterday we looked at condos at Falling Waters, a gated community. I fell in love with an older condo that needed a lot of work. The elderly owners had lived in it almost 20 years and were preparing to go to an assisted living facility. It needed some TLC and updates, but the view overlooking the pool was spectacular.

Today we visited Wally and Lorene Furrow at their home on Marco Island and had lunch at the Sunset Grill. Marco Island is a beautiful place to visit. However, it reeks of money and makes me a bit uncomfortable.

You are probably wondering how I am able to write this. Well, in the library of the hotel there are two computers for public use. I have to fight all the other guests here to get a chance at one of them, and I finally won a battle.
