We went to Stockton, Hubby's hometown, to visit the Townsend Clan this week.
Grandma Jones welcomed us to her kitchen.
The old shed was knocked down and buried. The remaining shrubs, trees, and brush were removed revealing this view between the corncrib and the house. Click on the picture to enlarge and get a good look.
Tom and Janet were having sewer problems at their house. New sewer line was laid to replace the old line which had collapsed.
This old "Orange-burg" sewer pipe is made of wood fiber and coal tar pitch. It's lifespan is 50 years. We think it's been there a lot longer than that.
Tom sold his old 1970 Plymouth Barracuda to someone who restores classic cars.
Mamie's old house near downtown Stockton.
Mamie's older house on Hudson Street.
Here we are at the Olde Hotel in Warren: Jack, Elaine, Grandma Jones, Me, Tom, Hubby, and Kyle
I have been assisting Franny with her genealogy on Ancestry.com. This old building was the Tucker Grocery operated by her grandparents. This is how it looks today. I believe the storefront is currently empty, but has a sign above the door: "The Blue Collar Cafe"
This is how it looked during an earlier time period.
AND this is Franny sitting at her computer working on Ancestry.com
