The Farm Progress show was held in Decatur on September 1-3, 2009.

These briquettes are made from compressed grasses by the machine below called a slugger. This was part of the Biomass Heating Solutions exhibit.

Mark Hall's Raminator was on exhibit and got a lot of attention from the younger crowd.

These tractors, the Alliis Chalmers WC and WD, were the models my dad used back in the 40's, 50's, and 60's.

This antique tractor used a football to cushion the ride.

Jerry in one of the tractors on display. It takes a ladder to get up into one of these. Note the computer display at Jerry's right.

This is a John Deere 24-row corn planter.
We were told that they also make a 36-row.

We spotted Jerry's successor, Patrick Lydic, riding the grounds in this golf cart.

Rusty, Dan, and Molly man the Rural Development exhibit. That's Jerry in the background visiting with a fellow retiree, Jim O'Hara.

Tommy Garland, another "horse whisperer" was part of the program in the Morton Buildings exhibit. Here he rides Stevie, the steer.

These water towers were part of the IRWA exhibit. The Brooks Catsup bottle is near Collinsville, the basketball at Hebron, the golf ball at Rend Lake, and of course, the Chicago Water Tower.
