Monica received a Master of Arts in elementary education from Roosevelt University, Chicago, on Friday, May 15.

It was a rainy day in the city, and even with umbrellas, we got a lot wetter than we expected. Daren, Mason, and Deven, as well as, Monica's mother, Olivia, Hubby and I attended the ceremony. Jim Skinner, vice chairman and CEO of McDonalds, was the commencement speaker. After the ceremony, we attended a reception in the auditorium lounge and then had dinner at the Exchequer Restaurant.

Mason is excited about his mother's new diploma.

And so is Deven- - -How much longer, Dad?

Deven is fascinated by the funny hat and tassel her mom and friend, Colleen, are wearing.
