Cruise and a Florida Holiday

We're getting ready for another cruise. This time on Carnival Dream.  Our first cruise was a Carnival Cruise on the Carnivale - 12/9-12/13/90.  I remember it being awful.  The ship was old and cold (couldn't control the AC), our accommodations were dark and dingy, and just plain not what I expected. We'll see what Carnival has to offer this time.
Our second and third cruises were on Princess - Star 1/14-1/21/96 and Sun 1/24-1/31/98.  They were both wonderful!
Our fourth cruise was on Royal Carribbean-Majesty of the Seas 1/29-2/2/01  I enjoyed it, but it was short-only 5 days.

We missed the beginning portion of Tiggie's last basketball game in November.  I picked Jerpa up at Willard, and we drove cross country to get to Homer.  We got lost and went too far-ending up in Vermillion County.  So these photos are what we missed.

Tiggie May with a rose for her mama.

Tiggie hugs her mama.

AND her dad.

The Carnivale - It was old when we were on it.  I looked up the Carnivale online.  It was born as the Empress of Britain-1956 to be used for transatlantic crossings between Canada and Europe.  It was sold to Greek line in 1964 who later sold it to Carnival in 1976.  Carnival sold it in 1993.   Several foreign lines owned it after that, and it underwent several name changes, as well as renovations before being scrapped in 2008 by a Japanese line.

Our dining table group.  I think the couple on my side of the table were from Colorado, and the other couple from New York.

Party night, I think.  Look at those hats!!
Our dining group on the Star Princess.  The couple on the left were from Maine, and the couple standing were from Ohio.
Here we are with the Chef.
We don't look very happy here.  Probably getting tired of posing for expensive pix that they want to sell us.
